agile
as they waltz across

tear-stained, blood-drained

upon seeing his face every morning

soft opening

feel the moisture
the heated
staccato beat
of fluid expression

cold wasteland
fingers not welcomed
denied the dryness
the arid
withered thump
of comatic depression

then

fucking poem
fingers hands lips teeth tongue
fought for air
the decadent
pounding clack
of worded manifestation

you poet burned my fortress
ignited my voice
branded me one of you

i am opened
give me your hand

i would declare:

shaded life peaks soft white density with a glow from my eyes
love tingles even with a ghost and family in the mix
where doesn't matter why scares me who is i

I started with the four word poems on December 27...then finally worked up the nerve to write "A Piece of Meat" on January 4...I wrote a few pieces of flash fiction (very short stories, usually under 500 words) 10 years ago...one of them is posted on here...and that is it...so, wow, thank you!!!!!!!
