Oh, Pen! (how you make me so!)
in utterance, your meaning defined--
tongue exposed for all to see.
as you move,
a rounding to pursed lips,
a pop of sound.
at the end,
a parting smile.
your nature.
like arms flung wide,
access.
to all that can be given--
and never withheld.
to be passed around
sprung
spread out
again and again.
and again.
and with each pass,
tongue hanging out,
a tighter purse,
hardly a sound,
a dying smile,
i dry out at Oh.
until again.
